Funding & framework

Announce less, and deliver.

A serious project is known as much by what it forbids itself as by what it promises. Here is the framework we hold ourselves to, and the orders of magnitude — non-contractual.

Five commitments

Commitment 1

Facts, hypotheses: never conflated

What is played as a hypothesis remains flagged as such, in the game as in the dossier.

Commitment 2

Players' data is protected

Collection kept to the strict minimum; tests follow an explicit code of ethics.

Commitment 3

The Engine is protected

Time-stamping, trademark, trade secret. Shown, never handed over.

Commitment 4

The two-engine membrane

The work and the technology are linked by value, separated by law and accounting.

Commitment 5

The green-light rule

Each stage opens only once the previous one is met. Nothing is presented as secured.

The common thread

Telling the truth about progress

The project is currently being structured. No funding is secured to date.

The orders of magnitude

Three simulations are being studied. These are not committed amounts: they are benchmarks, refined with the partners, under agreement.

SimulationOrder of magnitudeRationaleStatus
1 · Public-first≈ €600kA standalone R&D project; the Engine treated as a reusable asset.To be decided
2 · Hybrid≈ €1MGrant (experimental core) + venture capital (product) + debt (working capital).Central option
3 · Venture capital≈ €3MInternational pre-production; hiring and publisher negotiations.To be decided

Creative Europe MEDIA funds development up to the first playable / vertical slice — a lead to watch for a future call. Detailed figures reserved for discussions under agreement.

In short: we would rather announce less and deliver than promise much and disappoint. The Engine, more than the game, could be the principal asset.
